I guess I haven't posted in nearly a week. Sorry about that. I'm not exactly sure how or why that happened. A combination of not feeling like posting and forgetting about it, I suppose...

I had a subject for a post, but it can wait until tomorrow or whenever, because I have enough to talk about with just what happened since I posted last.

First off, I saw more movies. We got The Music Man and Toy Story from the library, because they're classics and I haven't seen them in ages. There's probably many versions of the former, but I've only ever seen this one. In movie form, anyway. I've probably seen it performed live once or twice, but it's been a while.
I feel like watching more of the Muppet movies. Those are classics, too. But our library hardly has any... And there aren't enough of them in the first place (especially since they got progressively worse as time went on).

Secondly, I played PlaneShift and Mabinogi a bit and was happy to find that I still enjoy both of them. They've gotten quite a bit more interesting since I played last (particularly Mabinogi).
Anyhow, they're still both MMOs. And they would still suck up massive amounts of my time if I actually wanted to play them regularly (and I don't for that very reason)... That hasn't changed. But the other thing that hasn't changed is that they're still fun to play a little bit at a time every once in a while, which can't be said for many games in the same genre.

I also went to the bank last week on... Well, I forgot what day it was. Anyway, I opened a checking account. It was free. And I get free checks, and a free card. I also got fifty dollars of free groceries (it's one of those banks that's connected with a chain of stores).
Nice, right?
...It's likely that I won't be spending much of the free money on myself, though. =P

Want to see something cool?
This is the image I'm using for my desktop wallpaper:

Isn't it great? I'm not sure what it is. I've been told twice now that it looks gross, like they're bleeding. To me, it looks like they covered some guy in paint and catapulted him at a wall, and this is the result... Heh. Reminds me of Blue Man Group.
Yesterday I had an idea and drew it to see how it would look. That's where the concept of the dripping paint man... thing... came from. I liked it so much that I said "Hey, this is cool. I should use it for... something." Seth said it should be the logo for a game. The thought had already entered my head, actually, but I discarded it, since I'm already working on something, and it's a bit odd to start with a logo and build a concept around it. But later I realized that I've done weirder, and I actually came up with something that sounds really nifty. We'll have to see how well it works in practice... At any rate, I filed it away for later; I'm just working on !°μ1.53 right now.
Besides that idea, I've taken down notes (largely brief and to the point, just so I don't forget the concept) for eight game ideas ranging from incredibly simple to quite deep. But I haven't worked on any of them, and I don't plan to for quite some time. I really want to release a beta version of !°μ1.53 some time in the next couple months.
...Anyhow, coming back to the picture of the dripping human figure: When Seth suggested I use it for a game, I told him, "Nah, it's going to be my personal emblem or something." And I think I might use it for that, too. The problem is that now I really like the picture I did with four of them all in a row, and the colors are spiffy (my favorites, and they go well together, too). That's not really ideal for a simple iconic image... Anyway, I'll just be using the purple one, I guess. For my MSN picture, etc.
...Until I get tired of it.
Update: I've also changed the blog layout once again and incorporated the image. I like this because the section for posts is wider.

Oh, and by the way, I realize that it's not that unusual -- something similar to it has probably been done before, somewhere... But the point is that it's still distinctive and I came up with it on my own, so meh.

Today's date is a good number. Nine three nine.

I am working on making a game where this little guy runs around and shoots Globs of....uh....Something, and they explode. And you get points.
